PAGES

deeply, madly...

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Thinking about friday always makes me relax. Insert sigh here *sigh*.
I plan to:
Sleep in
Hang out with my mom
Meet up with the girlfriends
And maybe sneak in a little Valentine's Day fun

This cute print is for all you lovers out there!

more birthdays...

So, I am not normally a "birthday" blogger, but it seems appropriate, seeing how some of my favorite people were born this week...decades and decades apart!

First up, Houghton Everett.
Happy 1st Birthday to my handsome, nephew!

Here he is, enjoying a LITTLE cake at his party last Saturday:)

Next up, Tiana Antoinette
Happy birthday, my dear, sweet, friend!
She's my girl, my sister, my bridesmaid, my confidant.
Praying this next year is filled with happiness, many blessings, and do I hear wedding bells?!

These are for you, Ti, you're the only one I know who has enough perfume to accomplish this look!

Living etc.

Someone's turning 2...

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Today is Paige McKenna's second birthday.  Our day has been filled with lots of snacks, the Backyardigans, chocolate milk, shopping at Target, playing dress-up, and now, finally...a nap!

Don't let that sweet face fool you:) Bring on the terrible twos!!!

a little dis-heartening?

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

I once had a married friend, while explaining her unhappiness, say, "I blame it on Disney movies. I think I'm still waiting for my prince charming to come, and to live happily ever after."

Well, this one's for you sister,

Snow White's family life isn't perfect.

And we all thought Belle was naturally that beautiful:)

Cinderella has a drinking problem.

Jasmine fights for her country.

And Ariel lives a fish-bowl sort of life.

Pictures a little dis-heartening? Maybe. But as you can see, no one lives "happily ever after", or without trials of many kinds. It's our faith, strength of character, and who we choose to lean on that determines our happiness:)

office completion

Monday, February 8, 2010

Finally, I took some office "after" pictures. So here is my little office nook transformation:
Before:

After:

Junk pile:

Organization:

So much better. I threw a lot of stuff away, organized files, important documents, and supplies into separate boxes, and covered a few of those ugly boxes in some old wrapping paper I had lying around. For a little jazz, I (actually Jake) spray painted the framed cork board, which I turned into an inspiration board, added a few girlie details and...voila!

Cardboard Testimonies

Thank you so much to Kelly at http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/ for posting this video! I balled...wow. What a powerful way to display God's love and forgiveness. He is sufficient for us all, despite the trials we face.

A Brooklyn Office

Thursday, February 4, 2010

I've felt a little "uninspired" this week. I call it a "funk", but let's just blame it on the weather. I'm doing another office post, to hopefully motivate me to finish mine.

I was checking out Adventures in Renovating a Brooklyn Limestone, when I came upon their office. Which is a room I'm a little obsessed with at the moment:) it is beautiful.

I'm loving the stainless steel desk and wall color. Of course, the zebra rug just makes the room.

What a fun way to display office supplies. Sure beats a crowded, messy, desk drawer. I may have to attempt this one.

Another office I LOVE. Obviously I'm a "black and white w/a pop of color- girl"

Again, minimal. But no one's desk really stays like this, obviously?!
