6 Months Old!

Saturday, November 30, 2013

Our big guy is six months old...crazy. He jabbers like crazy, sits up unassisted, rolls easily from back to belly, loves all baby food and smiles at every stranger he comes in contact with!
He doesn't have a tooth yet but there are days he is clearly uncomfortable so I believe that first tooth will be popping up any day now.

Stats (6 months, 12 days):
Weight: 22.5 lbs
Height: 28.5 in
Head size: 18 in.
Still in the 95th percentile all around.

Desires Fulfilled

Saturday, November 9, 2013

I was reading through some old posts the other night. It's fun to look back and see where I've been, what piqued my interest at what time. And I came across this post about finding out someone was pregnant with twins. I've never wanted anything more than I wanted a baby. Since childhood I knew I wanted to be a mother. Those feelings have been confirmed time and time again throughout the years.

I couldn't wait for my very own brown haired boy with a rock star name and dimples. I got exactly what I wanted. Grateful does not begin to describe what I feel when I think about my little babe.

My night spent reading through old posts was such a great reminder of this:
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."
-Psalm 37:4

Desire fulfilled.

Our October

Friday, November 1, 2013

We took some cute photos of Cash and some of his cousins on a beautiful fall day.

Is he not the cutest pumpkin you've ever seen?

I made some baby purees for Cash to start eating "solids". Why do they call them solids when there's nothing solid about them? So far? He likes sweet potatoes and pears/peas/broccoli and he hates avocado!

We've been sippin' on some Witches' Brew.

Cash was not loving his bear costume! Ah well...maybe next year!

5 Months Old!

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

My pumpkin's five months old and every month I say this, but he's getting more and more fun. If only he would stop teasing me by sleeping through the night about once a month.

He is developing such a cute personality; very cheerful and friendly. He has yet to meet a person he doesn't smile at and I can only hope that continues. He recently learned he's not crazy about avocado, but loves sweet potatoes. He's not "officially" on solids but we experiment a little here and there. You don't get that slim figure by dieting:)

Oh, and those thighs? I want to devour them.

What's up with Cash?

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

The past month he has been enjoying evening golf cart rides. We bundle up, put on some tunes and cruise. It's so relaxing, he usually falls asleep and takes one last nap for the day. (There may or may not be wine in that travel mug.)

He has been practicing sitting up...and falling over!

Our big boy has started eating some cereal to practice with a spoon. He is becoming a pro and I have a hunch that he will be a good little eater:)

Being forced to practice tummy time, which he has zero interest in, along with rolling over...

A Wine Tour + A Birthday

Monday, October 7, 2013

Jake and I had our first day + night away from Cash over the weekend. We went to Traverse City with my brother, his girlfriend, my best friend and her husband to celebrate Jake's birthday. We  went on an Old Mission Peninsula Wine Tour and had so much fun. We visited 7 out of the 8 wineries, since one had an hour wait (no thanks). I only tasted at the first 5 and then I needed a little break:)

At Brys' Estate, they put a candle in a little pumpkin muffin and we all sang Jake Happy Birthday.

Everyone was laughing at the fact that I shoved a bunch of pretzels (they were free!) in my purse and went on my merry way.

We had such a fun day and night, and our little chunky monkey was so good for Grammy and Papa. But boy, we were ready to pick him up on Sunday!

Auntie came to visit!

Thursday, October 3, 2013

Cash's Aunt Andrea came all the way from Denver to spend a long weekend with little man. He had a lot of fun bonding and having another person around to play with him and spoil him.
Here they are enjoying an afternoon at Bay Harbor.

(18.5 weeks)

We all had a great time and it sure is fun watching someone else love on your baby.
